Pretty much every player you listed here is worth much more than the 18th overall pick, especially in what is considered to be a weak draft.

Zegras, Kyrou and Necas especially are non-starters if that is the centerpiece going back.

Over time, you'll learn to recognize those CF worthies whose ideas should automatically be given serious consideration. When something looks severely out of whack, you should give the issue some second thought, including maybe a second look.

As much as I appreciate the grandstanding lecture, I acknowledged that comment by saying the "centerpiece going back." The 18th pick is (obviously) not a strong enough asset itself to convince those teams to move off young, established top-six forwards, and I don't think adding mid-round picks or B prospects changes that. So yes, those guys are non-starters if 18OA is the centerpiece going back.
