18 OA isn't a high enough pick to be the main part of a Zegras trade, and I genuinely don't know what else the Isles would have to interest Anaheim.

Dude. The ONLY piece the Isles have in their entire organization to even start a Kyrou conversation is Dobson. He's not available anyway.

18 is below the drop off in this draft, it's not a very valuable pick. For the Sens it would take 18 + for either Chychrun and Norris; let alone both.

You can say that again.

I think that he means either, like he does with the Winnipeg pair. On the other hand, since Buchinger isn't worth Kyrou's skates, I can't be sure.

Pretty much every player you listed here is worth much more than the 18th overall pick, especially in what is considered to be a weak draft.

Zegras, Kyrou and Necas especially are non-starters if that is the centerpiece going back.

Over time, you'll learn to recognize those CF worthies whose ideas should automatically be given serious consideration. When something looks severely out of whack, you should give the issue some second thought, including maybe a second look.

As much as I appreciate the grandstanding lecture, I acknowledged that comment by saying the "centerpiece going back." The 18th pick is (obviously) not a strong enough asset itself to convince those teams to move off young, established top-six forwards, and I don't think adding mid-round picks or B prospects changes that. So yes, those guys are non-starters if 18OA is the centerpiece going back.

Your characterization of standing up with another CF user who has far more experience than you do (and has always been far more gracious than you) as "grandstanding" is as revealing as the sarcasm with which it was delivered.

Good grief. I pointed out I didn't think the 18th pick was a strong enough piece to center a deal for some elite players. I didn't criticize him personally or even anything remotely close. Then you came in on your high horse to save the day. It's a website meant to argue about hockey, it's not that deep man.

”Ellte players”. The only elite player are Buchnevich and Kyrou. The other ones could be. Come on!
