Maybe... Although I'm not sure CHI is very interested in collecting more mid round picks.

Keep the 3rd/5th and make it a 2nd and the Hawks might accept.

I think the hawks will take Faksa for a 2nd. Kyle Davidson has been very consistent when it comes to cap dumps like Faksa. It's a 2nd. He can send something back! Like he did with Jason Dickinson. Maybe taking Entwhistle back would be good? Fast/physical 4th liner. Maybe you can get him to sign a deal that's slide. OR Issak Phillips? Not sure if you need LD prospects. BUT I guess the point is...when it comes to dumps. a 2nd has been the requirement.

Bailey, Dickinson, Zaitsev, Mrazek value was a 2nd, but really it was moving into the 1st.

As garak said....mid round picks at some point lose their luster. My counter would be the Dallas 1st for the LA Kings 2nd + Hawks '25 4th which nets those picks out to pick #43 on the value charts otherwise straight dump of Faska plus the '26 2nd

I think the Hawks would agree to this, maybe needing something lower, but for the sake of argument, i'll change it to wojo's suggestion plus a sixth

I think it also depends on whether there is someone the Hawks are REALLY targeting near the bottom of the first round. This year, I understand there isn't much difference between the bottom first round, to the early/mid second round. So... meh... I don't think this so compelling

This is roundabout what I have the offseason looking like for Dallas. I'm not so sure Nill is willing to trade Faksa, especially at the cost of a 1st Round Pick, but I don't expect any major UFA signings outside of the guys Dallas already has in-house. Honestly, I expect Dadonov to be the odd man out for Dallas this offseason, especially with Bourque ready to come up and take his spot in the top-9

What I will push back on just a little bit is the lineup construction. I'm not so sure having Bourque center Dellandrea and Steel as the team's proverbial "checking" line would be the best idea. His skillset is going to be much more valuable to the Stars on one of their primary scoring lines.

Personally, I see Bourque's game translating better to the check line then other top forwards. My guess is he plays a bottom six general role to start, rotating between third and fourth line based on time and matchup, and then coming up in case of injury/chemistry.

On the topic of Dadonov vs. Faksa, I think these playoffs have shown how they see Dadonov, the player on the bottom line most likely to rise and who has the ability to move around the bottom six. Faksa, meanwhile, has barely played these playoffs, though he had the GWG against Vegas, and is more expendable. Given his higher cap hit, I see him as the option to go.
