I think the defense might end up looking like that except for Pesce instead of Parayko, maybe Timmins/Liljegren over Walker.

This would be a poor return for Marner. I would target Askarov, Tomas Novak and the first round pick.

RFA deals look pretty decent
I personally wouldnt resign gregor
Def wouldnt resign Gambrell
Sean Monahan wants atleast 4M
Nashville Fleeces Toronto
And as much as I would pay Parayko 6.5 for the next 3 years. I wouldnt for the next 7

They wont move Askarov
I would try Forsberg straight 1 for 1

Saros,Tomasino, and Tampas 1st

Or Evangelista, Lauzon, Wood

Forsberg at 8.5 is a lot more valuable than marner at 12 so that will not work at all. I would do saros tomasino and a 1st. The third option would be on the table in my opinion

Forsberg had a better season on a worse team with worse linemates. Much rather have him than Marner lmao

Heh. Good one. The Blues obviously don't consider that for one second. Sweet Moses.

Depends if you value anything more than points, Forsberg doesnt kill penalties, and is strictly offensive, although less of a p*ssy
I also see the other two options being more realistic.

I think the Blues consider it for a few seconds simply based off Parayko's brutal contract past 35, but yeah. they still probably hang up eventually.

Heh. Do you have a fortune teller or something? And FYI, by the time he's past 35, his hit will be like 6% of the cap. Dropping each year from there. I think we'll just stay in the present, where he was our second best player this season.

Playing with those elite centers. Forsbergs centers has been johansen granlund and recently orielly. Marner has been a 30 goal scorer twice 30 and 35. Forsberg has had 4 seasons over 30, 31 33 42 and 48. In forsberg career he has never had a linemate with over 30 goals. Marner has had multiple linemate that has. And marner make almost 2.5 million more than forsberg and that number will most likely go up next year

Just to be clear, saying he was 2nd best Blue this season means better than Thomas. And the Blues had all of two fewer regulation wins than the Leafs did. In a retool year. Parayko was the first Dman to lead the league in takeaways and blocks in the same season. He's an elite skater, elite stick, and near elite in transition. He's also the Dman who is Matthews toughest match-up through the years - he hasn't scored an even strength goal against Parayko since 2019, a span of 68 5v5 minutes in opposition.

You should try watching hockey sometime.

Easy no for the blues. That's a garbage offer for Parayko.
