That's not true lol. But it's also true that most teams cannot afford to give Marner 12m a year. Nor will any teams be excited about ripping out a core piece to trade for Marner.

As for the trade at hand here with the Blues. If you are trading for Buch, a 1st is in the deal. Liljegren doesn't do a whole lot for the Blues unless Faulk is moved, and Robertson just adds to a glut of young guys needing spots on the wing blocked by older guys who need to be moved to the wing.

No he just doesn’t fit in StL for what’s being offered. If you wanted to try and build something around Kyrou with an extension in place, then I’d talk. The Blues cannot move off Parayko and it sounds like Army wants to make a run at Buch before making any decisions. We get to August and there’s no extension then sure I could see a Buch for Marner structure.

32 thoughts just brought up this may be a time where the Leafs will have to look like they lose the trade in the media.
