they may or may not be available. Ullmark has already declined trades with his NMC, and Saros might cost you a LOT more than Holtz

It has more to do with paying that price for a goalie who is going to be 35 next season

The rumor was that Boston had tried to rope Nj into a 3-team deal at deadline. And that Fitzy had instead asked for Swayman (Sweeney said no) and didn’t want to talk Ullmark in-season. Probably wanted to wait until summer when extension could be on table (my speculation).

I think the path to an off-season deal is still alive (would likely be after draft though).

I think Nashville extends Saros and he never hits open market.

If age is that big of an issue, fair. But Markstrom is still a top 5-10 goalie in the NHL, and the devils need him or someone else
