I just don't see the allure of trading for a poor man's version of Morrissey to play behind Morrissey at 2 LHD. Especially when you factor in what his next contract will look like in comparison.

Look at the jets current team, to get to the next step i strongly believe they need a true number 2. Look at Colorado with teows and makar. When the jets are chasing, they can play chych and jomo together without worrying about terrible d-zone coverage unlike when they play jomo and pionk together. Other than that, someone other than jomo who wins their minutes on the backend would be a game changer for an already structured defensive team.

Who's going to play the offside though? Chychrun is awful on his right side and will probably be looking for more than Morrissey on his next contract.

I agree the Jets need another to pairing defenseman, but Chychrun isn't one. The Jets really need a top solid top 4 RHD, which just unfortunately aren't available.

The Jets just can't spend all those futures to try and force a square peg into a round hole.

Jets need to go back to the drawing board on that blueline, while there at it, probably time for more than that. Mackinnon and makar in Colorado, and a revamped Dallas, basically near impossible gauntlet going forward. Ownership so scared of a rebuild, going to stick the team in purgatory for next 7 years. Props to Ottawa on there rollercoaster ride, take some ideas Winnipeg.
