old undersized dman/centre for arguably our top 4 dman and top 6 winger. just doesn't make much sense to me imo. that package could be used to target a guy like verhagae or keller but even then drakes contract is soooo good to even consider trading

retool, but they aim to make the playoffs next year. The have young prospects close with Dvorsky and Snuggerud. A Buch trade would need a return of a very good young guy that can either play in the top6 or top4 next year. I don't even see them making their pick at 16 this year.

The Blues are not Chicago., there's no teardown or tank. Jarventie would be of zero interest, and a picks heavy offer is not enticing unless one pick is a high 24. And as usual, he's not on the block. The offer would need to be super enticing with a piece or pieces they actually want.

I see them putting it in a package with either Krug or Faulk so they don't have to eat salary. Not saying they get nothing in return, but I see it being used as a sweetener to maybe move down actually. Only person I really want that might be available at 16 is Adam Jiricek.

Faulk and 16th overall to Toronto for their 1st makes sense to me. They will want major changes once they get bounced this round imo
