Yzerman isn't giving Raymond $7,000,000 on a 3 year bridge. He'd get closer to $8,000,000 on a 8 year deal. For a 3 year bridge I doubt he'd get more than $5,500,000.

What are your thoughts on CHI signing Kaner back? It's not like DET are cup contenders with in 2 years...so the whole winning a cup argument holds the same for both these teams. It's now a discussion on contract.

For 1-2 years, sure. He'd be an upgrade over what was put on the ice this past season but speaking for myself, I've moved on from that era. I liked Davidson wanting a clean break from the previous era and what he was saying about letting new team leaders grow organically, rather than having Toews/Kane there forever.

You sign Raymond and Seider to max deals and then you see if you can fit Kane in.

Kane is a luxury not a necessity.
