I don't think the Leafs need Markstrom though... I think they'd much prefer the 1st and Minten in their current situation

A late 1st with a 50% chance of even playing and a 3C is a good price to pay for a starting goalie. I think the leafs want some retention with that price but I don't think Sammy or Woll are contending team goalies, Markstrom is

I don't think any of those are elite goalies and typically teams dont win cups with young goalies
