That may or may not be enough to dump Korpisalo, but CHI doesn't really need or have any room for a goalie as things currently stand.

Pass on Wennberg. Rather just keep Pinto in the top 6 and find a winger for the middle 6. Also buy out Korpi instead of spending a 1st.

I think it's more of a buyout Korpisalo and trade/bury Forsberg situation.

At first, I mis-read the pick headed to CHI to take on 4 years of Korpisalo; I thought it was OTT's 1st rounder (!) Hence, I thought that if I were the Hawks I'd pull the trigger on this deal and figure out what to do with Korpisalo, later. Upon further review, of course, I saw that the 1st rounder contemplated here originally belonged to BOS. Ugh... Big difference - prolly the #7 OA vs #26 OA.

If the Hawks hadn't resigned Mrazek for 2 more years I could see something like this. But to have Mrazek 2 years and Korpi 4 years. I don't think it makes sense.
