Just tryna get a feel for value

Could Carolina opt to keep necas instead and move him to Center, they could run this top 6

This could be huge for multiple players. Holtz gets his shot in the top 6 with 2 all stars who will be able to create a lot of space for him to get open and use that wicked shot of his.

Necas can benefit off having 2 centers who are strong defensively and can cover for the hole he should fill as a center defensively, him playing Center also creates more space for him the be the main play driver on his line. Frederic will also benefit massively as a third option on a line with 2 good puck handlers and could become a Bennett esce player for them.

Well 1. Everything I just offered outside of the 3rd is worth more then KK so idk why you are being stubborn about this.

It’s not like svech is out here producing PPG numbers and he’s not good defensively.

Frederic gives you all around solid play and is physical and holtz could help replace the whole left behind goal scoring wise. Also Carolina is gonna be tight to the cap for this season so 2 cheaper players would massively help so they could still try to fill out the rest of the team with good depth

I'm not sure that Jersey accepts the trade as is, maybe switch Lauko for Boqvist?

I personally don't see Holtz as a good replacement for Svechnikov - Svech plays as a power forward and forechecks well. Holtz is much more of a sniper, and is smaller to boot. He is also the most valuable piece in the trade, as Boston's 1st will be very late, and I just don't value Frederic that highly.

I pointed out in a post yesterday that while Svech isn't "untouchable", he's right up there on the current Canes squad. I would doubt if he is ever put on the trade block, and so the price to buy him is going to be pretty high.

Dude's recovering from a massive knee injury, he's not getting traded unless you drastically overpay. On top of his age, ability, and current contract value, he's a favorite of the owner, its not gonna happen.

They’ve already locked him in, so my assumption is they’ve prioritized Svech over Necas and Jarvis.

It’s kind of interesting the commentary around Holtz and Frederic. Give me Trent any day in terms of fit to winning. IMO, Holtz is a nice potential flyer but two coaches have basically pushed him to the background.

Again, I just don’t see adding a third team as making much sense,

makes no sense for carolina, and honestly i'm not sure how much sense it makes for boston. value wise they're winning big, but they should be investing cap and capital in centers, not wingers
