If Tre wouldn’t move his 1st @ TDL, why would he move it in offseason 🤦🏻?

Wouldn't the Leafs by a thousand time better off, signing a UFA RHD for the price of Chychrun, then they keep the first, Niemela is the AHL, and keep Robertson.

No chance Kane signs a 3 year for $3M per, he's still basically a ppg player. Willing to bet he's at least $4M if not upwards of $5m+ per year on a 3 year deal.

Also highly doubt he is willing to go to any Canadian team.

He played his whole career for one of the most prestigious teams in the league and helped put them back on the map, did his time as a rental in his home state for another extremely prestigious team with history then hand picked a third team of the same cloth. If he wants to continue with the original 6 theme, Montreal is off the board but it would leave Toronto or Boston as options.

It would fit his profile but I have to agree that he's probably not going north of the border. Buffalo would be interesting is he wants to go home and help them make the jump t the playoffs.

Fun fact Ottawa actually traded you the picks that were used to select Hirvonen and Niemela in exchange for the pick they used on Kleven. That said, it's not the same management in place now that passed on him but as much as RD is definitely the need but I dont think someone going into their D+5 season without an NHL game is what theyre looking for as a centrepiece to a Chychrun trade.

1st is interesting but it's not like this years draft is particularly deep and the pick is likely very late. I'm honestly not sure if there is a deal to be had here.

And as mentioned Chychrun can't really play the right side. If he could there wouldnt be any trade talk at all.

He bought a home for $5M or $6M in the Chicago suburbs and spent a year gutting it and his girlfriend and baby moved in at the end of last year. I don't think he's going to venture too far as he clearly is planting his roots in chicago which makes sense as he has said many times, that he wants to work for Chicago after his career. I'm betting he ends up back in detroit frankly and ends his career for a season or two in chicago since Detroit is so close.

Funny enough I think it would electric to watch him and Bedard on the same line if he did sign back in Chicago to retire a Blackhawk, even more so if they win the Celebrini sweepstakes.

For sure, it would very interesting to see Kane next to Bedard. Chicago's new management team I think screwed that one up last summer, but i still believe it could be in the near future
