Description

This isn't necessarily about the deals but more about the players brought in. I think Frost would be amazing with Kyrou. Their speed together would be unstoppable.

Montour has had a down year (his underlying numbers are great but still) but will still be expensive. If the Blues can move Faulk, Montour would be a massive upgrade over him in my opinion. Would you be willing to sign the 30 year old Montour long term? I probably wouldn't, and would prefer to keep him on at max a 4-5 year deal at a high salary.

Arvidsson would be a low risk, high reward signing. Overpay for him but on a one year deal where he can prove himself and get a bigger contract in the offseason. There's always the option to trade him at the deadline and bring in Snuggerud to fill his role in the lineup.

Lastly, I think McNabb would be a great fit with Parayko for a few years and I'm a big fan of his play style. Even if he doesn't play with Parayko he would be a great fit for almost any defender.

Ideally in this scenario the Blues would trade up in the first round to get one of the top dmen prospects in this draft.

Buchnevich doesn't fit Flyers timeline. He is about to turn 29 and Flyers would be looking at younger options. By the time Flyers are looking to be contenders Buchnevich will be in his 30's.

Sorry, but...

- Arvidsson isn't so low risk because he misses like 30 games a year on average.

- That is NOT an overpay from Toronto. That barely plays for the retention Army is not giving out.

- Philly has loads of wingers.

- That Montour signing is just silly. 8M??? Just go pluck Jokiharju from Buffalo for half the cost.

I'm not mad at the McNabb idea, but definitely not my first choice.

As fun as reuniting the Aurora, Ontario boys (Thomas/Frost) would be, I doubt the Flyers are gonna target a winger (and probably especially not for their only offensive centerman)

No from Flyers. Doesn't fit the timelime of Michkov. Regardless of the standings Flyers are still rebuilding, not looking to shed their only young center and a draft picks at this time.
