Think they sign an ATO instead so they can play in Rockford for the Playoffs?

According to multiple sources I have spoken to, players coming out of college don't need to do that in order to play in the AHL playoffs. Regardless, Rockford has a pretty full roster with guys that have earned their spots. We'll see though. Can't sign an ATO on CapFriendly anyway.

I don’t think they will play for RFD this year, if they turn pro.

Yeah. It's possible. We'll see. I'm also sure neither of them feel like talking about contracts right this second either, after such devastating outs in the frozen four.

I think Nazar signs and turns pro. I think Greene goes back for a 3rd year of college. But it would be nice to get them both in the organization for next season.

It's possible but I don't see the point of Greene going back for a 3rd year. He has likely learned all he is going to learn at the College level, and all of BU's difference makers are more than likely leaving, so there is little hope of going back for a "revenge tour" next year. Also, Greene is arguably more "ready" to turn pro than Nazar. Relative to each other, Nazar is certainly the more talented player, but he is also the smaller player with more potential to explore and steps to take. Although, I would prefer Nazar turned pro, if he is gonna go back to college for another year, I think he should strongly consider transferring. I don't like Michigan or Naurato for Nazar's development.

I'm not sure who you spoke to but this is not true. Unless they are signed to an AHL specific contract (an ATO, for example), if they were not on the AHL roster at the deadline, they cannot play in the AHL for the playoffs.

Here is a clip for explanation from a guy who knows a lot more than I do.

Oh. Yeah. It was a capologist that I spoke with in a group setting. But it seems I mixed up the arguments. You are correct.

haha. Yep! Kinda weird though, they gave Ludwinski 91 and Elite prospects says Nazar will wear 22, but Zaitsev currently wears 22... So, Idk...

Well I suppose since Ludwinski wont see the NHL i guess they can both wear it this season. But we'll find out tomorrow I'd assume

Generally, players within a system do not wear the same number. But, yeah, I don't think there is any rule saying they can't both wear 91. It's kinda weird though, I was looking at all the rosters Nazar has been a part of going back to Honeybaked, and he has almost always worn a different number. And, if they did indeed give him 22, it is still perplexing that they would give Nazar 22 when Zaitsev is still on the team, doesn't even seem like they bothered to give Zaitsev a new number either. I wonder if they are planning on sitting Z the rest of the season.
