2024 Mocks are finally out!
Gagnants de la loterie:
  1. Logo de Blackhawks de ChicagoBlackhawks de Chicago (2→1)
  2. Logo de Kraken de SeattleKraken de Seattle (10→2)
RONDE 1ÉQUIPEORIGINALJOUEURDéTAILS
1Logo de Blackhawks de Chicago-Celebrini going at 1 isn't a guarantee. I have Demidov at 1st on my big board, but seeing how much hype there is towards Celebrini, no matter what he will go first. Celebrini and Bedard will make a sick duo.
2Logo de Kraken de Seattle-I don't like that Seattle is taking Demidov here given their lack of high end D prospects. Demidov will slot in perfectly with Beniers or Wright, whichever one gets the 1C role.
3Logo de Sharks de San Jose-Sharks seem to be linked to Levshunov and that's who I would take if they draft at 3rd. They lack RD prospects but Levshunov would immediately become their best D prospect overall.
4Logo de Ducks d'Anaheim-Its become more clear that Anaheim needs a D more than a forward. Silayev is a left shot but he has been playing on his offside, so he will fill the RD role perfectly.
5Logo de Blue Jackets de Columbus-The Blue Jackets lack two things: size and speed. I have a few players ranked ahead of Lindstrom that are still available, but Lindstrom brings both of the attributes I just mentioned. Normally players with great size and speed are hard to find so Lindstrom will be taken early on come draft day.
6Logo de Coyotes de l'Arizona-Fans are speculating that Arizona wants to build a tall and gritty defensive core, here they go off the board and take Yakemchuk. He's mainly known for offense, but Yakemchuk also brings physicality and uses his size well. Also Simashev is really elite defensively, so it works out perfectly.
7Logo de Canadiens de Montréal-One of my bigger reaches, the Canadiens take Iginla. It's been said lately that the Canadiens have shown interest in Iginla. Good two way winger but needs to improve his skating.
8Logo de Sénateurs d'Ottawa-Ottawa loves drafting Americans, they go for a need and draft Buium.
9Logo de Flames de Calgary-This is the perfect player for Calgary, given that Dickinson has a lot of Hanifin qualities in him. Dickinson will fit into Calgary's system well and become a foundational piece moving forward.
10Logo de Devils du New Jersey-Devils need a physical forward and a defensive defenseman. They go with MBN, who plays a power forward type game with physicality.
11Logo de Sabres de Buffalo-Buffalo needs a D more than anything. Parekh is the best available.
12Logo de Sharks de San JoseLogo de Penguins de PittsburghThe Sharks get a steal here. I have Eiserman at 5th on my board, to get him at 12th is a W. Though he is a boom or bust player given his game outside his shot. But the Sharks are a rebuilder so they can take their time developing him.
13Logo de Wild du Minnesota-The Wild need D help, but if Catton is still available this late, he's the clear pick.
14Logo de Red Wings de Detroit-The Red Wings normally go for Swedes and WHLers, but if Connelly is still available he should be the pick. Ignore the off ice issues, take him based off talent.
15Logo de Capitals de Washington-Some may think this is a reach but I value Stiga very high on my rankings. Great defensive center and one of the better skaters in the draft.
16Logo de Flyers de Philadelphie-The Flyers need a power forward, they take Greentree.
17Logo de Islanders de New York-Helenius isn't the biggest steal in this mock, but he does slide out of the top 15.
18Logo de Blues de St-Louis-Jiricek has injury issues but he's the best D available. The Blues will no matter what draft a D here.
19Logo de Kings de Los Angeles-Bednarik feels like a King in my eyes, I see a lot of Danault in him.
20Logo de Golden Knights de Vegas-I expect whoever Vegas drafts here will get traded next season. They draft Hage, who plays a lot like Eichel.
21Logo de Predators de Nashville-I don't see Wood as a center given his skating, but Boisvert can.
22Logo de Blackhawks de ChicagoLogo de Lightning de Tampa BayChernyshov is the power forward that the Blackhawks lack in their system.
23Logo de Maple Leafs de Toronto-Toronto will draft the unexpected once again, just to make this fun they go for Connor Brown, LOL.
24Logo de Ducks d'AnaheimLogo de Oilers d'EdmontonAnaheim goes BPA.
25Logo de Canadiens de MontréalLogo de Jets de WinnipegMontreal values hockey sense, character, and compete in their prospects. They take Basha.
26Logo de Flyers de PhiladelphieLogo de Panthers de la FlorideThe Flyers take Greentree's teammate in Cristoforo
27Logo de Avalanche du Colorado-Letourneau needs to prove that he can play against higher competition, but he could become a high end 2C if the development goes well.
28Logo de Flames de CalgaryLogo de Canucks de VancouverHemming plays a lot like Elias Lindholm, like Dickinson he would fit into Calgary's system.
29Logo de Hurricanes de la Caroline-Hurricanes go BPA.
30Logo de Sénateurs d'OttawaLogo de Bruins de BostonMews plays in Ottawa's backyard.
31Logo de Stars de Dallas-A lot of Dallas fans on this site seem to like Artamonov.
32Logo de Rangers de New York-Caswell plays a lot like Gabe Perreault/Cole Perfetti. He feels like a Ranger in my eyes.

Anaheim runs a system with a lot of north south movement in the offensive zone, righty lefty matters to us. We will be taking one of the RHD in the following order.

Parekh, Levshunov, Yamechuk

I understand your point about the north south movement, but Parekh and Yakemchuk aren't worth taking 4th overall. I see them going between 6th-15th. If Levshunov is there at 4th he will be the pick, but Silayev is just as good.

I think a lot of draft boards are sleeping on Parekh, he's got the highest ceiling of any D in the draft. I've also not been impressed with Silayev, he gets panicky with the puck and chucks it away quickly before he has a chance to see the situation.

I'm confident we'd go forward before taking a left shot D.

MTL wants to build a fast team, highly doubt they consider Iginla with their own 1st round pick
Iginla like you mention needs to work on his skating but you are mistaken by saying he is a two-way player, he isn't good defensively
He isn't a play driver, I see him as a complementary top 6 winger

Really good explanations and good insight on players I haven't even heard of before. Really appreciate these. I think she of your picks off but you never know what teams are thinking.
