Talbot is 5th in the league amongst tenders and only 14 goalies have played more games than him. He is either staying in LA one more year at a discount or leaving for a different team and getting a big raise. Like in the 3m range.

True but at the end of the day hes the "best" UFA goaltender available which bumps up his value. Alot of his success is directly contributed to the Kings defense but it still justifies a significant raise.

I bumped it up to 1.475M , might be a bit more but doubt 3M.

Fleury is a HOA goaltender but at 38 he signed at 3.5m contract for 2yrs. Talbot is not on the same level as Flower but even older tenders can get some good money after good contract seasons.

You just answered your own question there Fleury is a much better goalie and got 3.5 so the cap on Talbot is 2 maybe a bit more if somone has cap room.
Regardless for my thread if Talbot costs a bit too much there are a ton of UFA goalies , only need 10- 20 games out of em.

3 goalies is a giant waste of cap space. We had two different goalie crises (Sammy fell off a cliff 1st half and Woll injured for half) & we’re fine. 2 goalies is all you need; Hildeby ready as emergency 3rd backup if / when needed. Kampf is not getting traded; Bert most likely not coming back & Marner on the 3rd line is beyond insane
