Ok, what is your idea on a trade for Markstrom. You get retention and a second rounder I think he's worth that. You guys were going to trade that pick for him a few weeks ago no?

First, the trade is way to much going from Calgary Flames to Nashville Preds. Also, it would not be helping Calgary this year. They are giving up WAY to many pikcs.

Well, I don't think we were trading the 1st a while ago...and if we were, the price has gone down as it's not as if we got him to finish the year. Secondly, they still don't get the retention, so not paying extra for it. You may want to trade up from 2nd to first, but we don't even need the second involved if it would otherwise just be the cost of a 2nd from NJD as the cost anyway, let alone throwing in all the rest of that of a good prospect and another 3rd.

Flame ownership won't retain on Markstrom for multiple years, That's why the supposed deal with the NJD was nixed.
