He isn’t Russian so I highly expect him to play in the NHL again but the AHL wasn’t where he needed to develop the last of his game. He is likely a solid 3C but he isn’t the fastest of skaters fyi

Mazur is having a really nice pro season. He is developing really well. His play style is something this team is currently missing. He's got chemistry with other prospects like Kasper already. He could be on the team as early as next year, if we got a bunch of injuries again this year he might have got a look. He is someone that I believe is part of the long term future.

I'd start looking at next years prospects for that penguins pick.

There's no incentive for Winnipeg to do that. It makes more sense to just buy out Schmidt and not be stuck with a player they don't need.
