Wow, learn to read my guy. With salary retained he would be making around $1.6 mil, a great price for Faksa. He is also on his last year of a contract, so retaining team doesn’t have to worry about it past next year. If Duhaime can get a third, then Faksa should easily be able to.
Oh I can read, it’s just your point doesn’t make sense and you come off like a snake oil salesman.
If Faksa is as you state “an elite defensive centre who is perfect in a shutdown role” then why would Dallas want to move him? Especially considering a team like Dallas with Stanley Cup aspirations are very likely to have to compete with other competitive teams that run out the likes of MacKinnon, McDavid, Eichel, Scheifele and Pettersson as their top line centres. At some point Dallas will have to go up against one or two of those guys to get through the playoffs, I would think “an elite defensive centre who is perfect in a shutdown role” would be incredibly desirable and yet here you are willing to trade that player for a 6th or 7th round pick??? Confusing… or horse s**t?
And then you want us to believe the acquiring team will then be able to move that “elite defensive centre who is perfect in a shutdown role” for a 3rd round pick IF they are willing to retain 50% ($1.6m) of his overpaid contract… so why would Dallas settle for a 6th or 7th round pick when they could just do the retention themselves and get a 3rd round pick? Confusing… or horses**t?
I’m just going to put this out there, maybe Faksa is not that good, atleast not $3.25m good.
