Cant see the Devils moving Siegenthaler in any move

Devils aren't moving a top 10 pick for Markstrom, let alone adding significantly

Seems like a lot for Marky. Hage seems like a reach at 9 or 12 to me.

Horrible trade for NJD. Also, didn't CGY ownership already block Conroy from trading Markstrom with significant retention? Not sure why they would allow his to be traded in the offseason at 50% retained if they just blocked something similar at the deadline.

I think it was blocked because ownership wanted to stay in the play off hunt.

Then not sure why the ownership would have any more confidence in Vladar and Wolf this coming season as neither is giving an indication of being able to replace Markstrom.

It's easier to trade him away when next seasons a blank slate instead of being 4 points out of the playoffs. I think he'll let the team know he doesn't want to come back next season too.

Obviously you haven't seen Wolf play lately. He's the main reason Calgary beat Vegas and Montreal. Wolf had a .947 save percentage vs Montreal with a bunch of big saves in a game Calgary won 5-2 in spite of being outshot 38-28. The game before that vs Vegas Calgary won 4-1 behind Wolf's .966 save percentage.

Better get three Markstroms at that price
