NYR isn’t paying to dump Goodrow. He’s serviceable, they structured him for a buyout to gain cap space.

Also, they'll either buyout Johanssen and LTIR Ellis and have 12mil in cap space.

ANd they wont buy out Atkinson, they'll either play him, trade him at 50%, etc...

So ultimately they'll either pick up a top 2 line center OR a top 4 dman

Laughton at 50% for 2 further years is worth a 1st and a bit more, Goodrow isnt an expensive buyout , maybe just Laughton and a 1st and 4th kind of thing
