This is beyond ridiculous.

Here we will give you a decent prospect, a couple of other scrubs and a late 1st round pick three years down the road for the most highly coveted young player since McDavid… p*** off.

Hawks counter with Isaac Phillips, Jaxson Stauber, MacKenzie Entwistle, TB’s 2024 1st round pick for Quinn Hughes.

Even if they added Boeser it still wouldn't be close. Lekkerimaki and the 1st are the only real pieces of any interest to CHI, and those pieces aren't worth nearly enough. Suffice it to say Bedard will be in CHI for a VERY long time.

Bedard is in Chicago until he doesn't want to be anymore, if that even happens. Chicago has ZERO reason to trade him for anything other than a massive overpayment

Unless Bedard asks for a trade he isn't going anywhere, also the value is way off. That being said, if someone leaked to him that the Canucks were trying to get him he may try to help nudge things in the right direction, with that in mind, any deal for Bedard would look like this as in it would be a boatload of futures and not someone like Pettersson or Hughes going the other way. IF Bedard wanted out of Chicago the deal probably looks like Lekkerimaki, Silovs Willander, Raty, and 4 1st round picks. Either that or somehow find a modern equivalent to the Eric Lindros Trade.

I mean... You could say that about any player, but I see no reason he wouldn't want to be. Also, CHI has full control over his rights in the NHL until he becomes a UFA, which is at least 8 years away, and I'm sure CHI makes sure to lock him up beyond that well before we get there. So, yeah, there is no reason to move him for anything other than a massive haul.

This is assuming he's willing to commit long term, everything leading up to the draft had people believing that his dream was to be a Canuck and there's no reason to believe that's changed. Chicago also looks terrible and likely will be for the next 5 years, more than enough time for him to grow impatient and want out.

Vancouver wants a generational talent but unwilling to trade any top players to achieve said goal. this is beyond stupid. I bet $100 Vancouver could offer a 1st, Hronek, Boeser, and JT and chicago would still turn it down. youre paying for potential in a generational talent and bedard is 18 putting up a PPG on a last place team.
