Don't see the blues doing this. Chychrun only has 2 years left and our pick could easily slip into the top 10.

Chych is not worth that pick to the Blues, let alone adding in more solid assets. He's not even a top pairing Dman anymore.

Yeah, so he's not a top pairing Dman, and it sure as hell ain't worth a top 10 pick for one year of an okay 2nd pairing Dman. Which is what he is. And you'll probably be forced to sell him anyway.

I definitely agree that if the Blues are picking in the top 10, then they probably don't want to do it, in this form, including Saad, Dean and a 2nd. They'll get another Dalibor Dvorsky type/skill level guy to add to the pool.

That said, the D would look kinda nice... don't try and tell me Chychrun and Parayko wouldn't make an awesome pairing, long term.

No, Chych is definitely not an ideal partner for Parayko. Parayko doesn't need an offensive defenseman. He needs a solid J-Bo type so he can search and destroy instead of having to patrol the slot. And so the dummy coach doesnt get the bright idea to keep making Parayko carry the 4th line half the night. Parayko’s transition numbers are much better than Chych's anyway.

I think at minimum, you'd have to drop the 2nd out of the deal just for the sake of value, and even then, it seems that Blues fans just don't want Chychrun, if these comments are any indication
