I'd take that offer. It's two 1sts, at least one of them is from a non-playoff team. The other is likely from a 1st round exit team. That's a good return for a single year of Saros, with no undesirable contracts coming back. If NSH leaves the draft on day one with Parekh, Yakemchuk & Iginla, I'd be very happy.

Apparently they'd made progress on a long term deal prior to him even being eligible to sign this year. Maybe his play this year changes that, but every indication is that he's very happy here, and the team sees him as part of the core. I think I'm probably low on the AAV, but I do think Ottawa pushes hard on a long term deal.

I really don't see Yzerman being that interested in bringing in another left handed defenseman. We have so many in the system, 4 on the team with once we should be getting time and another who skills be getting some looks.
