Package aside. Why would you trade him at all. He does literally everything for the blues and is locked in for 8 years at 8.125 with the cap increasing. There aren’t many more valuable players in the league.

No probably not, but I put that caveat for person that says I wouldn't trade Thomas for McDavid or something stupid like. There isn't really any reason to trade Thomas unless we were going full full full rebuild. Even then it is probably not necessary

Let me clarify on aren’t many. There are certainly situations in which it would be required to add certain players, those players like Thomas are not available though. Don’t really want to go through and ballpark. But I’d imagine he’s somewhere in the 20-30 range in terms or most valuable players and his contract is fantastic.
