I get you just signed him. But in 8 seasons in the NHL His highest point total is 30 and he did that once. So I think Wally and a 2nd is very fair for a 28 yr old wing who averages high 20s points a year.

He got signed to an extension because he wants to be in Chicago & the Hawks want him in Chicago. Wahlstrom is a complete bust & doesn’t add value. So it’s a second round pick vs. one of the better players on a terrible Hawks team. Hawks won’t tear down forever. Doubtful Davidson would pull the trigger on this trade proposal.

Teams don't trade guys they just extended.
