The biggest obstacle in that MTL/TOR deal is Brodie’s 10 team no trade list. Pretty sure he doesn’t want to go to a bottom 5-10 team in the league on a contract year.

I’d do Savard (50% retained) and the 2nd for Robertson, a 1st.

At 50% retained, Savard becomes a 1.75M$ cap hit. Including Brodie means you’re cap struck. Maybe you need to send some guys down to the minors to clear cap space and go with a 20 man roster instead of 23.

I don’t hate this deal for the blues. Faulk is great but I’m not sure he brings a lot to us right now.

Nah, we have the cap to eat Brodie's AAV until the end of the year. I don't want to retain on Savard for next year as well.

Habs will survive without Savard and Robertson never got a real chance in the top 6 (à la Ylonen).
