This is what I’d offer. I think it’s a lot. Maybe it’s a lot but JM changes their fortunes.
Vanecek gets thrown in because money has to go back mostly for next year and the Flames need a buffer / placeholder for Wolf.

Markstrom at 4 mill for Holtz was on the table. If Anaheim puts Gibson at 4 mill on the table for Holtz we can have that discussion

Ducks have lots of F. Gibson is still decent.

Gibson is more than decent. But he’s in his prime and ANA isn’t at all ready to compete. He’s wasting away his best years with us, and will be approaching UFA once we’re competing. Let him go fight for the cup

Meanwhile, we have 2 solid young Cs in Leo and McT. 2 solid LWs in Z and Gauthier. But only 1 young RW locked in with Terry. Holtz would be a great addition. Nice to give Leo a Swedish winger to play with too

I don’t think Gibson has been good for years, myself personally, his last 5 seasons have been average at best

I agree but he is younger, and the argument would be that that the Ducks have made him look much worse than he actually is

Gibson should fetch a nicer return than just Holtz. Holtz and a first should be solid.
