I know the main focus of this is the Pettersson trade with Carolina, but Seattle and St. Louis would reject those offers out of hand. There isn't anywhere close to enough value for either player in those deals.

It's probably more than one prospect but it's not going to Nikishin... he's been the one untouchable for the last year and a half. I would guess that the prospects are Jackson Blake and Scott Morrow. Both guys are about a year away from having NHL minutes.

Again, that’s still not an overwhelming offer. It needs more quality not more quantity

Blake is a top-6 guy and Morrow is a top-4 guy... There's plenty of quality here... just because you know nothing about our prospects doesn't mean that they aren't quality

If you want to acquire a top 10 player in the league you’re gonna have to give up elite assets. Morrow and Blake are solid but not good enough to be headline prospects for a Pettersson trade
