If you're getting Matt Roy, you're not also getting a 1st round pick.

Chychrun AND Tarasenko 50% retained though. Chychrun is worth Roy and Kaliyev. Tarasenko 50% retained+Kastelic+3rd for a 1st and Lizotte is more than fair

With all their injuries, the Kings don't need retention on Tarasenko. They're certainly not giving up a 1st for him.

If you want to retain 50% on Chychrun, then maybe we can talk about including a 1st.

Our 2024 first, Kaliyev and a prospect like Helenius (2/#59) or Pinelli (2/#42) for Chychrun is fair, and comparable to the Muzzin trade because Chychrun > Muzzin but Kaliyev has 180 NHL games where Grundstrom had none and our prospect is already playing in the AHL whereas Sean Durzi wasn't signed to his ELC yet.

We aren't trading Matt Roy, especially when his defense partner is week-to-week, and Tarasenko as a rental isn't a necessity for us even with the injuries to Arvidsson and Kempe.

Lizotte for Kastelic is just window-dressing and we're getting the worst of it.
