I don't see a trade that works for Mittelstadt to the caps unless they view Iorio as someone who can jump into the top 4 next year which they very likely don't. It would be Iorio and our first rounder this year minimum for them to even consider it and I still don't think they do it.

Bear has been a massive disappointment to me this year -- not that he is what will make or break the season, but that's the type of deal that GMBM usually finds some nice wins on and he's been borderline unplayable.
I would love Middlestadt and I think he would be my #1 target. I don't see us having the type of assets Buffalo is rumored to want to make the deal work unless you include Fehervary or just go crazy with the futures (in this deal, I think you would have to have the 24 1st).
Everything else is around what I expect if they sell.

I agree on Mittelstadt, thought maybe Jensen would be enticing. I was so pumped for Bear to get a shot here, I didn't think he would be a game-breaker or anything, but holy hell he gets exposed out there. He looked like vintage Jeff Schultz on that Nick Paul goal the other night, it was b r u t a l. He's got time to turn it around, and maybe I had too high expectations, but man, I was hoping for a lot more.

Okay. That's fine. If you think you can get a 2nd for him then great. But here you're not only asking for a high 2nd, that is almost a first, but you also want a decent young player. I would hope Chevy would walk away from that ask.
