So... you want the Sens to basically trade Hamonic for Ceci (who makes 2 million plus more) and who isn't wanted back in Ottawa. And Janmark who doesn't help Ottawa in any way. A late 2nd round pick and Bourgault who also isn't needed. And you want Vlad at 50% retained? Ottawa can do better by just getting a 1st from another team.
Also there is no way SJ touches that deal. You're not unloading Campbell that easily.

San Jose isn’t taking a $20 mil cap dump for a late 1st in a not deep draft

The Delusion in EDM that Campbell can be dumped on the cheap is almost Leafish. Campbell, 1st and a prospect is the cost to dump. Add if you want players

I'd be happy to get Bourgeaut + 2nd for Tarasenko

Ceci is not a cap dump, since he can't come back to Ottawa, I'd flip him right away at 50% to get some more value

Flip Ceci at 50% right away and the deal looks good

Janmark is UFA and Hamonic has one more season, that would be beneficial too

He could be flipped in the offseason.. or would only be there for a year.. so not a huge commitment here.. For a trade sending Tarasenko to EDM (which I think is a great fit) to happen, it has to be money in money out because of EDM’s cap situation.

Look at the return Tarasenko got last year. It’s similar whether you like it or not. Plus, any trade with EDM has to be money in money out. Janmark is obviously a throw in to make the money work.

As for Campbell, sure, EDM may have to add but SJ getting a third first is enough for them to consider getting into talks considering they are light years away from contention

Yeah the Sens aren’t using their cap from next year on ceci who will post negative analytics wherever he plays, expiring contract maybe but nothing more

Ceci is poop. I don’t like Bourgault . No way Sens retain money next year when every dollar counts to make the playoffs
