I think you could get more from Petterson and Ned.
The Oilers trade would be tough from Edmontons perspective but it is an offer the Pens would have to accept.

Not close to enough for Pettersson. Try a late 2nd for Ned. A 4th doesn’t move the needle in the slightest.

Edmonton has already said they aren't trading Broberg for a rental. And Holland has never traded a 1st for a rental, so I think the likelihood of this trade happening is quite slim indeed.

I don't like any of EDM's prospects so I hope Guentzel doesn't get traded to them. Pettersson and Ned are worth more. Pettersson isn't a rental and while he isn't as good as Hanafin, his value is close having another year under contract. Hanafin will go for a 1st+ so I would want similar for Pettersson.

I don't think the Canes are the team to be paying a first for a 4th top4 LD.

What do you think a top 5 left wing for the past 5 years should go for then? oilers prospects are really low end so picks have to be included. then when you include the retention the price goes up even more. Jake would instantly be the 3rd best player in the oilers organization. He isn't coming over for free.
