I disagree they may not like the trade but I do think Buffalo needs more defensive players like Mikheyev to improve their team.

its not a huge deal because none of their pending ufa's are worth all that much to begin with. full retention of olofsson probably gets them a conditional 7th or something. EJ it might be the difference between a 5th and 4th rounder. When you draft top 10 for 10 years straight, nobody cares about the marginal differences in these picks.

Honestly man Mikeyev probably makes your top 6. He's also a pk specialist with a strong defensive game. Type of player coaches love and the sabers lack.
