Lazar has been really good for the devils I wouldn't trade him especially for a break even

Sissons is a good target for the Avs if they could get NAS to swallow some retention though that would increase the cost but he really isn't a 2C. Not sure about Lauzon however, can't see how he fits really. Even if the Avs are moving one or 2 D out in the off season. They're going to need to add near minimum guys on the bottom pair. Interestingly enough a Sabres fan recently posted a RyJo plus 3rd for Krebs & Olofsson trade, I'd take that even if it meant upping to the 2nd. Scratch the Lazar trade and play Sissons as 4C, give Krebs a shot at 2C, at least he can pass the puck and skate. MAF I'm not sold on, never really have been tbh. Lankinen might be a possible in a NAS trade.

As far as Lauzon is concerned I was thinking this summer the Avs move on from Manson and he can be the physical presence (league leader in hits by a wide margin, younger, hopefully can still grow his game). Byram can hopefully figure out his game and take the second pair slot and Malinski takes the third line pairing.

That's not enough going to Nash. We have no need for any of the UFAs if we end up selling. Behrens isn't the right prospect because we already have a ton of promising young LD. Then there's Meyers who is interesting but ultimately wouldn't move the needle because of the lack of success at the NHL level. So really it's a third and some scraps for Sissons a very capable 3C who can play up the lineup if necessary, kills penalties, and is reliable in the faceoff circle. Not to mention Lauzon leading the league in hits by a a fair number, is starting to show flashes of offense on the rush and using his speed, and Nashville paid a 2nd rounder to get him so it'll take more than that to get him out. So Nashville declines and I've got to think that with the term on both of these guys, and the fact that the cap hit is very reasonable, any package to get them out of Nashville will take a first or an overpay. And even if Nash was set on selling these guys I'd think a number of teams could beat that package
