I Wanted to see this trade from the Carolina side of it, if I could choose the team I want Jenner sent to it's 100% the Hurricanes. He fits this team perfectly.

That Jenner trade is no where close to what it would cost a team. If Carolina wants Jenner it starts with a 1st and two top prospects. Reason is Jenner is on a very team friendly deal, his game translates to playoff hockey very well in that he is what most teams covet, scarcity of players like him on the market, he plays all situations, he has term on his contract which doesn’t make him a rental, and the Jackets if they did trade him would want a kings ransom for their captain.

Yeah, I think that's a pretty decent Jenner return, though I'd hate to play him 10-24 (a man can dream) times in the next 2.25 years. Still obviously contingent on him becoming available. I'd be happy with that return for Ros, too.

My biased view is if teams want Jenner this year it’ll cost the value of Jenner for each of the three years they are getting. His value if we was expiring is about a first so they should respond accordingly .

Hey I want the world for him too haha but if he got moved this season, a real trade does look something like this one with the exception of maybe instead of Drury it could be Jarvis or another 2nd(th could turn into a 1st if Stanley finals are reached).

But I know canes fans might burn the barn down if Jarvis got moved.
