He is an RFA with one year of control. They reach UFA the same year.

Lol that is the same circumstances as saros fella. Buffalo has a year plus to work out an extension. Just like nashville would with mitts. If neither player wanted to stay, both team would then have the exact same amount of time until that player walks into the great ufa wilderness
