This trade is a bit more of a pipe dream, but I would love to get Johnson and I think this is a fair price. Capfriendly shows him as a LW first but I thought he was a centre which might make me incorrect in my thought process but I figure that CBJ already have a lot of good young centres. They will probably add another top winger this upcoming draft which pushes Johnson down the depth chart. MTL can slot him in the second line and needs one of these high potential players instead of dozens of middle 6 potential

To all Habs fans.....the Flyers are not trading for a goalie. In fact they aren't buying at all. And that is not my opinion it's something that Torts, DannyB and Jonesy have all confirmed.

I don't see Edmonton being in the market for another LHD. And especially not an undersized one. Holland has purposely build a big defense corps - the shortest guy is Ceci who is 6'2, 210.

The Habs' main issue is the lack of high end talent. They probably aquire another one at the draft this year like you said but that might not be enough, especially since they want to start being in the playoff race next year.

Trading for more depth doesn't make sense for the Jackets. They have a lack of top end talent so they're gonna keep their highest upside prospects and young players.
