if the caps are selling, i doubt vancouver want aube-kubel but they would definitely have interest in dowd if hes avail

Edmundson value has definitely gone down and for 3.5 million he could definitely be seen as a cap dump

His contract has already been retained from the MTL trade. His cap hit is 1.75 Million. Very manageable, not a cap dump at that value. I wouldn't pay more then that though for him.

I could see the jets being interested in Edmondson for depth, but not at that cost with his cap hit.

There are very few teams that can take Mantha’s salary without you taking one in return. It might not be your problem, but it’s why I don’t think Mantha gets traded unless you are getting an expiring back at similar money

Good value and decent option on deadline day for the Jets. Personally I'd still like to keep Capobianco for the playoff run if you're only picking a depth guy for next year. Maybe future considerations on this trade and the considerations is his rfa rights on draft day?
