Slafkovsky has more value than Zegras, Anaheim would have to add. Slaf is unreadable. He is arguably better / and have a bigger value than Fantilli, Carlsson, Michkov
Pure homer bias.
On what basis do you think that Slafkovsky has shown the POSSIBILITY of being better than Fantilli or Carlsson? Each has played significantly fewer NHL games than Slafkovsky and outperformed him so far:
Slafkovsky: 89 games, 32 points, -28
Fantilli: 49 games, 27 points, -21
Carlsson: 31 games, 19 points, -6
Sure, Slafkovsky COULD turn out better eventually, or he could turn out worse, but no unbiased observer thinks that he has "greater value than Fantilli [or] Carlsson," especially since both of the latter are centers.
Here are some interesting stats to compare:
Mason McTavish: first 89 games, 46 points, -16
Kent Johnson: first 89 games, 43 points, -17
Slafkovsky: first 89 games, 32 points, -28
Trevor Zegras: first 99 games, 74 points, -15
Matty Beniers: first 90 games, 66 points, +13
Adam Fantilli: first 49 games, 27 points, -21
Logan Cooley: first 48 games, 25 points, -10
No, Juraj Slafkovsky doesn't have greater value than any of these youngsters RIGHT NOW.
