They are not a cup contender. There is no chance this team wins a cup. At best they will be a just got in, 1st round and out.
If they can get an asset they might. Especially if they have faith in Bloom. Which I think they do. His play in WBS has been pretty solid from all the game highlights I've watched.

Ned is a proven NHL goalie who has been good all year. A random asset like a sub mid goalie prospect isn't worth it.

Fair value probably starts at a 3rd with no retention and nothing coming back.
If a bidding war takes place add to that what teams might be willing to pay. But people should be reasonable and realize the value has a ceiling and it isn't very high.
