What is Ferraro providing that Byram and Girard aren't?

Studnicka is not an NHL player because Bruce Cassidy ruined him.

I dont see the need for Ferraro and Studnicka is not an upgrade over any of the Avs forwards. If you want a 4C from them Id look at Carpenter

Kahkonen would be a fine trade target to back up Georgiev

Granlund is kinda risky but I can see the appeal there

It's not so much providing but byram is gonna want more then what he's worth and Ferraro is on good term for 3 years

It does kinda make sense as a 1 stop shop for the Avs. Fills all of their biggest needs assuming those players keep performing the way they have this season

I can see them being interested in KK and MG not the others. MG at 50% would be nice to give Col flexibility + SJ a better return.

If the trade was KK and MG at 50% I would expect a 1st or Olausson +. Not sure the Avs are willing to do that but that'd what I think the return would have to be for SJ to consider.

Without retention for MG I can't see it happening due to the 5m cap hit, as I'm not sure Col would trade enough to make it appealing for SJ to move MG.

cost you Byram and a 2nd rounder

Though the price is higher (both in assets and cap) and it's not expiring until after next season, I'd look at reacquiring Sturm over Carpenter.

Could also even look at Burroughs or Benning as a cheap RHD option (Benning could probably play 2nd pair, Burroughs 3rd pair) if the Avs are going to need to move Manson next year.
