Unrelated but does anyone know concrete how Hart's contract works? Is it actually on LTIR or do they have to pay? Real money and cap hit im curious

Betman said that they will become free agents with no contract or pay. I'm not sure if teams will still retain rights of the player.

I would love Laughton. But I would really want him 50% retained. 1st + 3rd for Laughton with retention. Walker, I would spend a 2nd tops (or 2 x 3rds since we have no 2nd). I wouldn't pay more than that. Walker is solid but he is only a minor upgrade for our 3rd pair.

Also, Brodie is not being traded unless a star dman is coming back AND his cap hit needs to go the other way.

Leafs would rather do a first than Knies, but also trading brodie for walker doesnt really work either. my package would probably look like a 1st, 3rd and timmins with kampf

If I am to believe what I've gathered from a variety of other ACGMs, Knies is the one untouchable for Leafs people. You'll need to give an arm and a leg and possibly the soul of your firstborn to get him.
