Definite maybe from VGK
I don't think so from NYR.
Better chance Buffalo goes an entire January without snow than AZ doing that..
Again a definite maybe this time fromSJ

Hey I kinda like this. Gonna have to add more for Schneider, and I would. I'm sure somebody could make the point that the Sabres don't need to add physicality or grit, and that they are uniquely positioned to make some kind of run with just skill. And they could possibly be right, but after yet another top 10 pick, I'm all in. In fact I'll go one step further and move kulich to a wing, and trade one of the forwards for a legit 2 way center (even if kulich stays at center in the nhl, he's not gonna be a defensive specialist, and I think we need one. Lotta good ideas here.

VGK can’t afford Mitts under their Cap moving forward

NyR trade is interesting….
BUT
1- they would have to see Jokiharju as a suitable replacement for Schneider- which they should FOR NOW, but do they see Jokiharju as good enough to take Trouba’s spot in the too4 in a couple years???
2- they’d have to like Krebs & see him as their long term 3C
This is “possible” but they could also not have interest in him

Some interesting ideas
Hard to pull off imo, but it’s refreshing to read something new besides the same old crap on here

I like it, I mean there's NO way it'll happen, but I like it. The Kings are in a wild card spot out west, and they fired their coach. The Sabres haven't made the playoffs in 13 years, and there's no sense of urgency with the Sabres. Haleys comet will be swinging by again before the Sabres make it at this rate.

Idk…. while i don’t LOVE Granato, idk that ANY different coach “fixes” our major issue
We are the youngest team in the league
No new coach is gonna speed up time

These kids- yes, KIDs- still have more developing to do
ESPECIALLY in net
U can say Adams should’ve made a better move than Comrie,
but i think that’s on our Analytics Dept telling him to do that
And surprise, surprise….
Analytics are NOT the end all, be all

In summation, as much as it sucks, we just gotta give the kids more time to grow up

I've been trying to find "physical, defensive-defensemen" throughout the league that aren't overpaid or too old. Korczak has always been a guy I like and Schneider would be great, but you guys are spot on. I know it'll never happen, but if it were to happen, the Sabres could offer young players (as they could for any player) and take advantage of any team's cap situation.

While they're better defensively, it would be nice to have guys to put with the offensive-defensemen that allows them to be themselves. Plus, having some more grit without completely losing offensive ability/skill is something needed.

Korczak isn’t a bad target- FOR US
But trading him doesn’t HELP the VGK Cap Situation,
as he doesn’t have a big Cap hit
Even though he is due a raise next year, i doubt it’s enough that it’ll make a major dent in their Cap. They likely look at moving out a bigger salary
