Not going to get you Zegras, Verbeek doesn't want undersized players.

Top 6 RW or top 4 RHD need to be the main pieces.

Holy mustard, that Oilers trade is HORRIFIC for Philly. Why would you ever want to do such a masochistic thing?

If Philly is in the playoff hunt I can't see this being a great trade (better cheaper goalies than Campbell available, Broberg looks great but still unproven at NHL level in terms of helping for playoffs).

I'd have to think Oilers do this - vet 3C really helps, and Seeler is a great 7D for a run. Solving those pieces while getting rid of Campbell for only a late 1st and a great but unproven prospect would be maybe a bit too good to be true.

Could maybe see one of Bonk or Foerster being available for Zegras (Maybe like Bonk + FLA 1st + Brink or something like that)

Dallas trade is probably close to fair, EDM trade is heavily in favor of the Oilers (Broberg + 2026 1st would be my ask to take on Campbell alone), Anaheim trade is close to fair in value but I can't see those particular assets interesting them, would probably take Foerster or Brink involved to get it done

The Edmonton trade favours us so much.
I do somewhat agree with the sentiment that if it cost's too much to dump Campbell we'll just buy him out and some teams want the picks (and don't care if Campbell comes with it).

You could probably toss on another 2nd and 3rd to that deal and EDM would still say yes.

I'm intrigued, but admittedly, mostly because I want to hear what the announcers would come up with when announcing a hit by Bonk.

Yeah that'd be a tough part about it, we have Barkey Bump Bonk and Brink in our system so it'd be a tough loss.

All jokes aside, he's legitimately have an excellent D+1 year and would probably actually go higher in an early redraft. It'd suck to lose a 6'3 RHD who looks like he has a top pair ceiling, but that's probably the type of piece we'd need to give up. Foerster is another guy who I think could make sense for both sides, but I'd be stunned if Philly were willing to move him under any circumstances

I don’t like is the Risto trade because of the term of all that salary retention for just a mid level prospect. I think you are undervaluing the cost for cap space. Same with the Edm trade. 3 more years of significant cap retention will really hurt the Flyers when they are ready to compete in a few years. There is no way Briere does that. Also there are no reasons for the Flyers to resign Seeler or Walker. And there is no reason for Seeler or Walker to accept offers so similar to their current contract considering both are in their 30s and their last chance to cash in on a bigger contract. Why would they take a discount?

Wow, where to start. The Walker deal is good value, I would definitely prefer their 1st this year though. The Oilers deal is heavily in their favor, the return would be enough to eat Campbell's contract. Peterson should be included and there would have to be more picks coming to the Flyers. The Atkinson deal is a little light if it is happening at next years deadline. For the 100th time we are not retaining on Risto, and if for some reason we did it would require a 1st round pick in return at the minimum. Honestly idk about the Zegras deal, it seems like fair value but idk why we would do it.

I think you're barking up the right tree (Ha, see what I did there? I'll see myself out.....)

Bonk and Foerster would be targets for Anaheim in a potential Zegras trade.
