Flames will re-sign hanifin. If you expect the flames to trade hanifin and lindholm to the leafs and have the flames keep cap retention, then its at lease Robertson, Mitten, Cowan, Knives and a first & second. and maybe if im calgary i'll entertain that. So many other contedning teams have more assets and prospects than the leafs. ex LA

I don’t think the Leafs pursue any of the two, and a package of Minten, Cowan, Knies, Robertson, 1st and 2nd is lunacy. If your expecting that type of return, especially for two expiring players you will be heavily let down at the TDL

Robertson and Knives are bottom 6 players at best on teams with money not tied up to 5 players and that have actual depth. Mitten and Cowan only have potential upsides and a toronto 1st is just a mid round pick. You'd have to give up alot in order for teams to retain salary. And besides the Flames can get better assets from many other time than what the leafs can offer for those two at the deadline. Timmins is s defensive liability,

LMAO what? Knies is already a top-6 forward PWF who has elite upside. Minten and Cowan are two untouchable prospects for a reason; parting with BOTH would take a haul not expiring players. You could definetly get good assets for those two guys, but no team is moving those type of young players (Knies, Cowan, Minten) for a 1-year rental's in Hanifin or LIndholm unless there's an extension included. The market is already limited for Hanifin, who only wants the states.

Knives and Robertson are only top 6 because the leafs don't have any cap room to pay more than $1million dollars for decent depth forwards. Ex. Bunting, Hyman, Brown, Leivo, Kapenen, Johansson, Mihkalev because the overpaid and are crippled by tavares contract. Dumbest signing in franchise history lol smh. Give a 31 yr old thats been in the NHL since he was 18 that never was really fast a contract value of 2 top 6 players for a guy on the back end of his career. Tavares was 29 when they signed him and has been PPG since coming to Toronto. How's Huberdeau? I'd worry about him before Tavares. Flames haven't won since 89 themselves, couldn't win even with Iginla and wasted a decade of Gaudreau. Bunting, Brown, Kapanen, Johnson, and Mikheyev are all injury prone or trash at this point

He has same amount of goals as leafs 4th liners. You trade Domi ok cool who you got replacing him?
