Thats a lot of years to hold onto 2mil, AV's would be crazy not to take that deal. They'd be paying zib 6.5 aav to be thier 2nd line center and every piece they're giving up is replaceable. Byram maybe not replace but you could supplement a lesser piece without worrying much and having zib as your 2C for the next 6 years at 6.5 would be an insane advantage.

You are correct, this is a horrible trade idea for the Rangers and the AV's would be crazy to say no. But what if instead of Mika, the Rangers offered up Chytil for the same package, would you still take it?

I'm not sure you get more than the first for chytil while he's on IR he's a bad season away from not earning his contract or a next step away from being a great player, avs could use a solid center but im not sure he's the guy.
Now the sabres, trade you a 1st and prospect easy. Your not getting a 4th overall guy for him but they're more in need of what he brings if we've seen his best.
