What? Bunting has been everything the Canes could have asked for. On pace for somewhere around 50-55 points, staple on the PP, bounces around the lineup and fills in the gaps. What makes you think he hasn't fit in, because whatever it is, it's completely wrong. I wouldn't mind adding Kakko, but he's out for the foreseeable too. He will be back before the end of the season, so he can't even be thrown onto LTIR for the summer. There's absolutely no reason for Carolina to consider this.

The report was from Freidman saying he thinks Bunting could be someone based on ice time, but Canadian media notoriously love to pretend the Canes don't exist, so I wouldn't be shocked if he said that not watching a single minute of Canes hockey. Bunting is the 2nd highest-scoring winger on the team right now.
