I don't think we'll be sellers. Fix the goaltending and we're competitive

Two weeks ago, I thought we would be buyers.
Today, I am not sure.

There are two camps....fix the goalie....or fix the defense. I am the later.
We need to get our 5v5 mojo back...possession/transition game starts in the back.

I don't think any available goalie is going to give us much different results with the high quality chances we are giving up.

So I'd say...

(a) exhaust all internal options (lets see Misyul).
(b) find a cheap veteran defenseman (or two)
(c) add guys with term (at least under control through 2024-25)
(d) see what we got come deadline

It’s true about the defense. Frank Seravelli was saying that no team can lose Hamilton, Severson, Graves and Siegenthaler and think they’re a playoff team. Hughes and Nemec are gonna be good but they’re still just rookies.

I think the Canucks would be interested in Toffoli, but what do you think the price would need to be. I dont think the Canucks are about to mortgage the farm for a 32 year old UFA, but I could see some nice pieces going in return.

1st+3rd for a 50% retained toffoli has been my ask, or equivalent assets
