All 3 pieces on their own are worth far more than Monahan and the Jets don't need a 4C/13th forward. Easy no from Winnipeg.

Copp didn't have Monahan's injury history and he's a lot more physical too. Montreal might get a 3rd for Monahan. Maybe a 2nd if there's a useless cap dump going back to Montreal.

Copp was also worse offensively, on faceoffs and had a bigger contract. He never sniffed 40 pts before getting traded. Oh, and he played 82 games in a season once in his career , so yes, he has an injury history.

The least Monahan will get is a Barbashev return, maybe an early second if we are extremely, extremely unlucky. If Lindholm gets traded soon or he sign an extension, Monahan’s value will skyrocket, especially with how many teams need a reliable C. I wouldn’t be surprise if someone offer a first and a very good prospect.

I get that you hate the habs but this is ridiculous

Dream on. And BTW I don't hate the Habs, it's funny how so many on here automatically say you hate their team if you don't agree with their inflated claims on what their team's players are worth in a trade.

You have literally no argument on why those players shouldn’t be worth the value…

You haven’t said anything nice about the habs ever but you are the first saying : « typical habs fan » on every post, even if the value is more than fair or even in the other team favor. You either hate the habs or you are a troll…

Monohan will fetch a 1st round pick but I hope the Habs get a top tier prospect instead of a pick because they have enough draft capital....he wouldn't be the 13th forward try watching him play....lol

Some GM's do make dumb moves but it is unlikely Monahan gets a first. By this time in his career all GM's know what he is. He's a bad skating, bad at even strength, poor defensive center that isn't good enough offensively to play in a good team's top 6 and not good enough defensively to play in a this team's bottom six.

He's most likely a plan C, D or E player for teams that miss out on their first choice or two.

Lol the guy is top 10 in face off % and isn't bad defensively...I think your mind is clouded by the fact that Winnipeg is playing way over their heads right now...

How come all of Monahan's advanced stats show that Montreal is worse defensively when Monahan is on the ice than when he's not?

It's almost like you don't understand hockey enough to know the difference between playing defensively and taking a face off.

Nobody on here knows about inflated claims like you. you tried to trade Huberdeau for Jt Miller, with the canucks retaining, so very funny.
